Micromosaic - Basilica of San Marco

Micromosaic with view of the Basilica of San Marco: An enormous mosaic -- 7 feet (2.1 meters) wide by 5 feet (1.5 meters) high, this unique work is made from literally millions of small glass tiles (tesserae) from a palette of thousands of colors. Work was completed in 1907. Currently in part of the Corning Museum of Glass collection.
