The brain-child of glass artist Marshall Hyde, The Exquisite Corpse in Glass: Flameworkers Play a Surrealist Game is an exhibit currently on display at the Castellani Art Museum at Niagara University. In the original word game that inspired the exhibit, players write words on slips of paper and randomly select them to create unexpected phrases and sentences. In this version, viewer mix and match from among the 66 lampworked parts to create one of the 10,648 possible figures.
The exhibit runs through February 12, 2006. Don't fret if you can't get to Niagara before then. Twenty of the figure are available (with artist information) in a PDF online for your mixing and matching pleasure.
