Get ready to spend some serious time in front of your web browser – today's GlassFact covers a trio of glass galleries displaying a total of over 350 online photos of glass art – much of it spectactular.
Philabaum Glass Gallery & Studio – Tucson, Arizona (USA)
The Philabaum Glass Gallery represents work by some well known artists, many of whom create brightly colored and occasionally whimsical-leaning work. The current exhibition of teapots by 11 different glass artists is a good example of art that is uplifting without being trite.
Also, Philabaum has one of the best online collections of vitreographs that I've seen.
Vespermann Glass Studio – Atlanta, Georgia, (USA)
In addition to being the founder of Vespermann Glass Studio, Seranda Vespermann is herself a respected stained glass artist. Those of you who have visited the Georgia Tech bookstore likely noticed her work: The sixteen foot diameter Spirit of Tech window in the student bookstore (the largest single stained glass window in Atlanta) is by Vespermann.
Studio Glass Gallery – London (UK)
Publishers of Studio Glass, the Studio Glass Gallery describes themselves as "the UK’s premier glass art gallery...featuring the very best European glass artists, including the new generation of Czech glass masters."
The Studio Glass Gallery website features some truly outstanding art, including several cast works by Czech artist Richard Cermák. If you follow only one link for today's GlassFact, make sure it is the one to his page.
