The February 3, 2005 GlassFact discusses Corning's Resource on Glass, a free online book that covers a broad array of glass-related topics.
I know that not everyone has the time to read through all of the 103 pages in that book, so today's GlassFact focuses on a brief set of five chapters that discuss the material characteristics of glass.
The subjects of those chapters are the: mechanical, electrical, optical, thermal, and chemical properties.
This excellent (and did I mention free) primer is recommended reading for anyone who wants to better understand this material that is the basis for so much beautiful art.
