Nichrome

Nichrome is a metal alloy composed of nickel and chromium. The melting point of nichrome is greater than 2500F (1370C).

Nichrome is used for electric resistance heating elements.

Nichrome wire is popular among many kiln-formed glass artists as an inclusion material because of it's high melting temperature. It is available from most art glass suppliers.
