Molding & Casting Handbook

Ruth Brockmann recommends The Prop Builder's Molding and Casting Handbook to those who are fortunate enough to take one of her casting classes. And there's good reason she does.

Readers will find information within the book's more than 200 pages that is not readily available elsewhere in one place -- and much of which is applicable for glass casting. And even the techniques not directly applicable for casting glass are useful for making "mother" molds from which wax originals can be cast and then used for lost wax (cire-perdue) casting.

The book include sections on mold materials, releases, casting processes, and more. There are even detailed instructions on making those "breakaway" glass bottles and props used in Hollywood :-)
